I don't know if I'm just completely anal, but all of the diaries I have been
reviewing lately seem to have some major spelling and grammar issues, and
this one is no exception. Has capitalization just become arbitrary on the
internet to most people? It's definitely still important to me, and I would
like to see capitals at the beginning of every sentence. Your English
teacher would be appalled! If I hadn't read your "about me" page, I would
think you are a twelve year old girl instead of a seventeen year old named
Brad. Maybe it's all the "omg"s or something, but I feel like you should be
writing in a little pink diary with a picture of Barbie on the front. But,
I digress. I don't really care what you wore to school, I don't care if
your biology class "smelt bad", and I definitely don't care that you failed
your English test on Macbeth (although I can't say I'm surprised, since the
English language clearly isn't your strong suit). I just don't care. I
guess I feel like you are writting for other people instead of yourself. It
seems like everything you write is superficial, like you are carefully
calculating exactly the right image for other people. What about you? Give
the reader some feelings, some emotions, something real. Anything. Just
give them you.
