Content (26/40)
I've been pondering what to say to you for
a long time, that's why the review has been so delayed. I read as many
of your "most important entries" as I could, and I've tried to read
all the current entries since I began your review a month ago. The
only great qualm I have is with the quiz entries and "I think I'll go
update my cast/extras" page entries. It's so unnecessary and breaks
any rhythm you could get going. I suggest you try to avoid filler
entries like that altogether.
Otherwise? Well, I guess your content is fine, but I'd like to make
suggestions for its presentation. You consider yourself a creative
soul so I'd like to see you try to stretch yourself a little. Try to
write about your days and feelings like you might write a story. It
doesn't have to be exciting, it can be all the same things you write
about now, but even ordinary things can be manipulated into the
extraordinary. Try using more imagery. You're very informal and
conversational right now, and this style is usually rather dull.
And a word of encouragement: you aren't as different as you tend to
think. A lot of other girls feel and think the same way that you do. I
promise, I know. Most people don't wear their feelings on their sleeve
though, especially if it implies weakness. They will cover it up. And
just because they seem to have things better, doesn't mean they
actually do. I've had people envy me my life and some of my talents,
but the truth is, just because other people look up to me as pretty
and perfect, doesn't mean I always feel that way. I am not the best at
anything and am overshadowed by many others and I end up feeling
useless and insignificant. It's something we all feel from time to
time because no one is perfect.
Layout (9/20)
Ugh. The inconsistency of your template is what really bothers me. I
might have been generous enough to give you a 12 or 13, until I
started browsing through your most important entries page, and I
realized the horror that awaited me behind.
You've changed looks by entry. This is an extremely bad technique. You
have odd, out of place backgrounds, mismatched font colors,
unnecessary (now) links, and oh the horror, white text. White text on
a white background is just awful, for obvious reasons.
Otherwise it's pretty typical, not great, but not as awful as it could be.
Navigation(15/15)
Neat and uncluttered. Full points.
Link(5/5)
Yes, easy to find on the reviews page.
Extras(10/10)
Multiple diaries, zillions of cast pages (almost too many), more than
adequate bio pages, plus the obligatory listings, rings and reviews.
You have plenty of extras, don't spring for any more.
Contact(10/10)
